TPWODL is committed to do its bit to mitigating climate change risks by bringing energy efficiency in its operation and promote among consumers and society at large adoption of clean power,energy efficiency in its energy consumptions and mitigating threats to wildlife posed by its infrastructure. Sustainability initiatives at TPWODL are aligned with the Vision & Mission of TPWODL. TPWODL vision statement espouses ¿Sustainable value creation for all its stakeholders.¿ And reducing carbon footprint is key aspect of this statement. The company is sensitive to the aspect of climate change and committed to introduce energy efficient and greener technologies along with identification of the mitigation & offset opportunities in a cost-effective manner.

KEY INITIATIVES AT TPWODL

TPWODL has planned several initiatives to enable its consumers to be part of promotion of clean energy viz.

• Solarization of irrigation bore wells and promoting micro grid in difficult to reach area as measure to provide reliable supply.
• Promoting energy conservation at Household level by sensitizing school students about the impact of climate change and energy saving tips through its ¿Club Enerji¿ awareness campaign.
• TPWODL has carried out works to protect elephants from electrocution by erecting high rise poles with the objective to complete the entire project by March 2022 for which the work is being carried out in 59 sections of TPWODL.
