Solar Rooftops are solar panels placed on top of roofs of any construction be it commercial, institutional or residential. This power plant on the roof comprises of solar panels that capture sunlight converting this naturally emitted energy into electrical energy. This setup is also known as Solar Rooftop Photo-Voltaic System.

Steps to get your Solar Rooftop installed with TPWODL:

  • Submit your application at Circle/Division/SDO/online in TPWODL Website for Solar Net Meter
  • Forward the completed RTS application to the e-mail id:
  • The application along with documents will be scrutinized by Centralized Connection Management Team.
  • Shortfalls if any will be communicated to the consumer through e-mail.
  • Demand Note is generated for an Application Fee of Rs. 500/- + 18 % GST
  • Site Testing of SPV (Solar PV Project) Plant is done by TPWODL authorized person.
  • Demand Note is generated for the cost of Solar Panel and Net Meter
  • Installation of Solar (UNI Directional) Meter & Net (Bi-Directional) Meter
  • 'Contract Agreement for Net-Metering' is executed with the consumer
  • The Net-Meter Consumer is added to the Billing Net.
